The Papua New Guinea Immigration and Citizenship Services Authority (PNGICSA) wishes to advise all visa applicants, sponsors, agents, businesses and other stakeholders that the Papua New Guinea Kina (PGK) equivalent of all visa fees has been revised.
The adjustment is necessary due to the fluctuation in the exchange rate between the United States Dollar (USD) and the Papua New Guinea Kina (PGK) used in determining the applicable visa fees.
The exchange rate has changed from USD 1 = PGK 0.2454 to USD 1 = PGK 0.2264, resulting in a corresponding adjustment to the PGK values of the prescribed visa fees.
Accordingly, new PGK visa fee amounts will apply to all visa classes, effective from September 11, 2026. Attached is the revised Visa Fees Schedule for your reference.
Important Information
All applicants, sponsors, agents and stakeholders who pay visa fees on ICSA Portals (MICA, eVisa, Sponsor Portal) and from Department of Finance (IFMS) are advised to:
Refer to the attached revised Visa Fees Schedule for the applicable PGK fee for each visa class;
Ensure that the correct fee is paid when submitting visa applications or making visa-related payments;
Note that applications or payments made using outdated fee amounts may be subject to additional payment requirements; and
This adjustment is an exchange-rate-related revision and does not constitute a change to the underlying prescribed visa fees in USD.
PNGICSA appreciates the cooperation and understanding of all clients and stakeholders as we implement this change.
